Uncle L Uncle L originates from the fair Southland, most recently in the second city of San Fernando, in Trinidad & Tobago. Having developed an appreciation for many different genres of music, he quotes his musical influences as including calypso, reggae, R&B, Rock, and Hip Hop (the love of his life). Upon moving to Nashville, Tennessee for college, he hosted a Caribbean radio programme called "Ring The Alarm" between 1996 and 2000 on 91.1FM WRVU. While in Nashville, he founded Livication Sounds International and was instrumental in developing the Caribbean music scene in Nashville. He moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in 2000 and has devoted himself to continuing his mission of promoting Caribbean culture. He currently co-hosts "Spirits of Congo Square" on 90.7 FM WWOZ and is actively involved in other ventures within the Caribbean community. "It Takes Livication To Be A True Champion!" |
